Where does all the food go?!
Last night I baked 20 chicken legs with the idea there would be leftovers. This morning there are 3 count 'em 3 chicken legs in the fridge! Now I ate 2 last night for dinner and I put 3 on FS#2 plate, but that leaves 12 chicken legs unaccounted for! Wait, I packed FS#2's lunch so that accounts for 3 more. Hmmm 9 chicken legs disappeared overnight. And I don't buy the excuse that the cats ate them.
I was a perfectly content single woman who was quite happy with my childless life until a teen, whom I had been mentoring, asked to come live with me because I was the closest thing to family that he had. That started my travels into and through the somewhat surreal world of the child welfare system specifically with regards to fostering older teens. I am currently Geppeto to two boys, 16 and 19.
